Believe it or not, Cross Over is a three way crossover.
In one corner, Thomas Nolan, from Saint Tommy, NYPD. This is set between Deus Vult and Coven.
In another corner, Marco Catalano and Amanda, from Love at First Bite and Honeymoon from Hell. (Duh. This is Honeymoon from Hell #4)
And then, their “trainer”: One Sean AP Ryan, from MurderCon and The Pius Trilogy.
Yes, I made it a three-way.
Why do that?
In theory, it should be a great introductory novel.
Come, see the book that samples all of my series! (Sans White Ops.)
Eventually, in theory, I can make this a permanently $0.99 book and list it on BookBub…
You know, if I get like 100 positive Amazon reviews…
And I made no errors…
And BookBub is feeling nice that day…
And the stars align properly…
And God’s feeling merciful.
Of course, the real question is how do I do this book?
Sure, Sean Ryan’s employee Galadren has been part of the Honeymoon From Hell series thus far. But putting Ryan in the same room with a vampire? How does that work?
First of all, you don’t have him fight a vampire. That would be an undead giveaway…
Though Jihadi Renfields aren’t out of the question. Wouldn’t that just be cool? Yeah. I think so too.
Oh, and of course, there are a whole bunch of places I haven’t blown up in Rome yet.
Did you think that the revenge tour on Rome is over? As long as I have set-pieces that take place in Italy, I will never not take an opportunity to avenge myself upon that city. I shall wreak bloody vengeance upon them all.
You should see what I did for On Tiber’s Edge. I didn’t exactly set half of Rome on fire, but close.
Ahem.
Anyway. I did manage to blow up some things that never came to fruition in Destiny. And since this takes place before hand … I may or may not have blown stuff up here that shows up later on.
What? I never expected this cross over to actually happen when I finished up the Saint Tommy NYPD series five years ago. I also didn’t expect it to take or or three years for the last four books to get published either … or have my publisher fall apart.
It’s been busy.
But yeah, Cross Over is a heck of a ride. It doesn’t slow down for much. Like with the TV show 24, much of the conversations happen on the way to the next action piece. And all four of them have very different styles. Marco likes to use a knife. When Nolan fights, it’s just business. Amanda is a vampire. And Sean AP Ryan is … nuts.
But it was interesting to get all of these people into the same room at the same time.
Anyway, Cross Over comes out on 3/26/25. Buy it. Enjoy it. Review it. And if you’ve read the previous novels, please review it. Thank you.
