Fae’d To Black is coming in five days.
Yes. Five.
Really.
Damn it, when I was told “you should do rapid release! The Amazon algorithm will do all the work!” I shouldn’t have believed them.
So instead of doing marketing for one book at a time for a few weeks, then going back to my real job of actually WRITING MORE BOOKS, I’ve done nothing but marketing.
Since October.
I think the only thing that’s kept me sane over the past few months has been the short stories.
Clearly, Fae’d to Black is ye old grand finale of Honeymoon from Hell.
And it has all the things.
Epic? Oh yes.
Oh, this is going to be big. How big? The final battle is half the book big.
Let’s just say that Hans Schantz complained that Marco and Amanda have killed off the final villains “too easily.”
If Hans has the same problem, I’m just going to give up writing. Because this f***er would not die. I basically put Sauron in power armor covered in magic runes.
Character deaths? Yup.
While I am not Joss Whedon, it became clear during Honeymoon From Hell that the world of Marco and Amanda is suffering from a bit of character clutter.
It’s time to clean up the rolls…
Or Wash the cast, if you will.
Don’t worry, I’m not THAT sadistic… Everyone who goes down is going to go down for a reason. I don’t kill characters for the sake of killing characters. Usually, it’s more a matter of “I don’t really have a use for this character anymore. It’s time to get one more use out of them.”
THEN I kill them.
Can I probably make use out of them if I put more effort into them? Maybe. But when you consider how long it took for me to get back to this series, I’m not holding out hope. Heck, I’m not really expecting much.
Anyway, if you were part of the kickstarter, please swing by and drop a review … somewhere. Anywhere.
I’ll be back Monday with a chapter list.
