Awww... Dr. Schickele passed away? That's sad. I used to love listening to his radio show on NPR. In High School I was lucky enough to perform this piece for our senior concert finale:
I was introduced to PDQ Bach in freshman Music History in the early 70s. After a week of Mozart and Haydn we walked in to class on a Monday morning and the professor without a word played the Beethoven Symphony No. 5 Sportscast. 🎻 https://youtu.be/f0vHpeUO5mw?si=mMzKmdsYi_pZCwgf
Then he said “ moving on to Brahms …”
I was lucky to usher a Peter Shickele New Year’s Eve concert with the L.A. Philharmonic and I’ll never forget his entrance from the balcony and climbing down a rope to the stage. A truly hilarious and memorable night.

Well... it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that certain je ne sais quoi.
IYKYK.
We all have to die eventually.
The Chinese Festival song rocked. I want him to do the whole thing. Brings back my misspent youth.
There is "longer." It's on his patreon. Don't worry, you can view this for free. https://www.patreon.com/posts/house-of-rising-120912932
Problem is, I can't just embed them. I guess I need to hunt down if he has a Rumble
Cool. Thanks. He just needs a pretty Chinese girl in a tight red dress singing it in Han.
After visiting, his "Bad Moon Arising" filk is even better.
From the YT comments section. And thanks
"When you go far enough with the "Darth Jarjar" conspiracy theory and want to give him matching music."
Ha!
The best thing the University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople ever produced.
Was part of a chamber group that performed "The Seasonings" in college.
Fond of jimlapbap's content too. May not have had to take fourth semester theory/comp twice if I'd had a prof as interesting as him.
