A Short Story

This is yet another paywall exclusive post.
The short came from an anthology called Shoot the Devil.
The description is as follows.
Ten of superversive's finest team up to bring you tales from a serial killer's basement, to the weird west, to the average small town, all featuring "mostly" ordinary men and women fighting back against the forces of darkness.
Of course, when I submitted, it was called Punch the Devil. The title changed, which led to my story being the only one WITHOUT gunplay. Ironic, considering the amount of gunplay in my Saint Tommy NYPD novels.
The prompt that started this particular story was someone who asked about stories where the main character is working off his redemption.
I think I did a decent job.
