The White House Correspondents Dinner

So how was your weekend?

I hear the White House Correspondents Dinner was entertaining. All five minutes of it.

That’s when No King’s Fan Cole Tomas Allen, a California teacher, John Scalzi fan, and shi**y game designer, tried to take a whack at the President of the United States.

Because third time’s the charm?

For those of you keeping score at home, first there was Butler, PA, where a turn of the head prevented Trump’s head from being aerosolized on live TV.

You may remember how that ended for the shooter.

And then there was a second attempt by some loser on a golf course, breaking out an SKS.

At least that guy made it to a courtroom. And a jail cell.

And this weekend, some jackass rushed the White House Correspondents Dinner, thinking that they were going to break through Secret Service, into a crowded ballroom, and take a shot at Trump with a … shotgun? I think?

Afterwards, it was interesting watching the Rorschach test of social media play out. Like Ian MacMurtrie—seriously, doesn’t he write westerns?—I, too, hate people.

Assistant Chief of Staff Stephen Miller wrapped himself around his pregnant wife like she was a bomb blanket … so the left insisted he was using her as a human shield.

Kash Patel didn’t immediately whip out his gun and start blasting away, so he was a coward? Somehow?

Erika Kirk just wanted to get out and go home, and who could blame her, she’s had a rough year—but no, the lefties of social media laughed at her.

SecWar Pete Hegseth stood, watching everyone like a hawk, (and looking annoyed that he wasn’t armed) then turned into a traffic cop, calmly directing traffic.

RFK Jr looked really rather bored, because of course he would.

First, the left of social media insisted that it was staged. Then they complained it didn’t work. Then they pretended certain people were all cowards. Funny that. Perhaps we should shoot at them and see how they like it.

But right wingers don’t shoot at lefties. Damn it.

Of course, the rest of the news reports played like a rerun:

“Someone shot at Trump. Trump needs to tone down his rhetoric. The left are saints and not involved in this at all, no matter how much we call for Trump to die.”

And Mister Allen is very clearly a lefty nutcase. But sure, guys. I’m sure gaslighting everyone will make them see you’re innocent. Yeah. Right.

It’s clear the Left thinks that they can get the end results of a Civil War without doing the work. Because if they kill Trump, JD Vance will be a pushover … because Marines are pushovers? Is that their logic? I’m sorry, Vance was E-4 Mafia, not an officer. Officers at least know what Geneva is, never mind that Geneva even has a convention.¹

While the Left seems to think that Orange Satan is the end of the world because he got in the way of “it’s her turn” Hillary … Trump is the moderate option. Hell, he’s pretty much “right-leaning middle” from 20 years ago, without being a RINO. The Left has gone so far left, that deporting a single murdering rapist is fascism. Remember when they passed a 90’s crime bill that they themselves decried as “racist” within a few years? Joe Biden stood in the senate and bitched about black “super predators”?

But apparently, the Left hates Cheeto Hitler so much, if they just get rid of him, everything will be roses…

Never mind that Vance is more right wing than Trump, and Stephen “deport everyone” Miller will probably get a promotion to Chief of Staff. But sure, getting rid of Trump will have no down sides. At all. I mean, we’ve only had a decade of “Trump needs to die.” I’m sure once they finally achieve that, everything will go back to normal, right? (I hope the sarcasm is coming through clearly. We do need a sarcasm font.)

Funny enough, after Butler, rapper Tom MacDonald came out with a song. It needs updating, I guess.
