That about sums up my reaction. I'm not planning on getting worked up about this until some people I know have watched the first ep and share their opinions.

I'll be sure to review it. If I"m still around when it airs. You know how long TV takes...

Your "Is JMS still JMS" question is very much why I have serious concerns. Well, that and CW's other reboots, such as Frequency and Kung Fu.

Argh. Kung Fu. I turned it off after one minute. I'm surprised I lasted that long. Is that garbage still on?

If JMS is still the guy we knew from the 90s, I don't think the CW is a concern. If he's not ... we might as well bury it this minute.

This is interesting as a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago recommend Babylon 5. So I bought the first season and loved it. I'm now on season 4. You ask a lot of good questions. I guess we'll wait and see. Particularly since I saw a lot of what is going on now in the US in the first 3 seasons. Food for thought.

It's one of the reasons why I'm concerned. If Joe is on board with modern day insanity, he's missed the point of his own show.

Before you hop on board Season 5, you will want to have the fast forward button ready. There's a new character coming on board, and he lasts for half the season. He's also annoying.

Just a warning.

I have those qualms, which is why I didn't jump onto the hashtag push that was going around to support it. Plus I'd rather see JMS doing something new and good rather than redoing something that's already good.
