This is so sad, I got the email too. I'd really like to know if the small presses who have closed all have the same problems, and if so, if they are solvable. After all, most restaurants -- most small businesses, in fact -- don't make it. And while some have unique problems, for most it's really the same few (often avoidable) problems or because they are part-time businesses for people who either aren't suited to run a business or have a family or personal emergency (an illness, a fire, an unexpected move) and have to concentrate on those. Several small presses for this kind of book are SO important. I'd really like to know if they are feasible.

I wrote Hussar, and their Anti-Fa army trashing whole cities, in February of 2020. My editor told me I had to explain who they were and why they were the bad guys.
There are a lot of people wondering why I bothered, I'm sure.
